Insight. Permission. A wee bit of play.

Hear Me Speak

Helping individuals within a group setting think differently, feel differently, and lead differently, in the work place to community groups.

This won’t be a “sit nicely and take notes” kind of session. Whether I’m on a conference stage or in a workshop room, I create interactive experiences that invite people to loosen up, lean in and actually engage. Expect insight, practical tools, a few unexpected questions, and the kind of moments that make you

laughthen think then shift.

I believe serious topics don’t have to be delivered seriously. When people feel safe to play, reflect and participate, learning lands deeper and change happens faster.

If you’re looking for a speaker who reads slides, I’m probably not your person.

If you’re looking for an experience your audience will still be talking about over coffee —

let’s talk.

Unorthodox Medicine

In a unique presentation I tailor complimentary practices to consider personal health conditions and consider your own wellbeing from a holistic approach

By using energy, psychosomatic and colour psychology this gives a different way to look at life choices.  Hugging is also a topic! (Though non hugging practices are also pertinent in this current climate!)

This workshop has proved extremely popular within the Year 13 Heath Curriculum and has been developed for workshops at primary school to Auckland University of Technology.

“In May 2019, I attended one of Karen’s workshops held at Auckland University of Technology. It was such a fun and interactive workshop focused around personal wellbeing, Karen created such a relaxing and light-hearted atmosphere which made the workshop all the more enjoyable. We all gained a lot of knowledge on things such as colour therapy and aura, both of which I found very interesting. We were also shown how positive and negative influences can affect our strength, which I have been able to reflect on in my own life. Overall, it was such a great, positive experience that I would recommend to anybody wanting to expand their horizons and walk away with self-help tools that you can reflect on and take with you through life. “

Laughter Yoga

Need a opener or a break in your conference or team building day?

Laughter Yoga could be just the thing. Ha Ha Ha, Ho Ho Ho. I can get a whole room laughing in an instant. This is, after outlining the importance of laughter and questioning as adults why we don’t laugh as much! It is a novel way to get people opening up and talking, pushing them out of their comfort zone and bringing some light heartedness to any event. This activity comes with a HEALTH WARNING, it’s INFECTIOUS!

Reflexology

Introductory Talk about Reflexology

An interesting talk for a group requiring a speaker especially suited to a health or well being related conference or as part of the curriculum in Health Education.

I am happy to tailor reflexology tips and techniques targeting specific conditions for your individual organisations, in particular carers, parental groups and schools.

“Learners in my Level 3 Health class were very fortunate to have the privilege of Karen’s expertise and energy to help them to understand reflexology. They were at the beginning of their learning journey surrounding health practices for an internal assessment and had little background knowledge of complementary and alternative medicine. Karen was exceptional in the way that she interacted with the learners. I was blown away by her passion and enthusiasm for her practice and the way in which she shared this with my learners. She made a potentially confusing topic simple and easy to understand and used a range of demonstrations to keep the learners actively engaged throughout. Karen challenged assumptions that they had about the practice and got them thinking of alternative ways to approach various health circumstances outside of what they already knew and believed. If anyone else teaching a Level 3 Health class would like the support of an outside provider for the health practices programme of learning, I highly recommend Karen as an engaging, enthusiastic and knowledgeable presenter! Thank you Karen.”
